Let’s FLOPPY 3.0, Korea’s first global street culture convention, successfully wrapped up on June 6-7 at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju, vividly transforming the city into a vibrant hub of taste and creativity.

Centered around the theme "Taste," Let’s FLOPPY showcased an array of street culture experiences, including music, brand exhibitions, food, craft beer, visual arts, and D.I.Y workshops. Since its inaugural event in 2023, Let’s FLOPPY has consistently grown in scale and influence, establishing itself as a leading festival in Korea's cultural landscape.

This year’s third edition featured captivating performances by electronic band Glen Check, sentimental singer-songwriter MRCH, and R&B artist george, all drawing enthusiastic responses from the audience.

Highlighting the event’s commitment to insightful dialogue, the convention hosted engaging talk sessions with renowned domestic and international speakers, including creative director Koo Min Hyun of street brand Kasina, AI creator Ryan Ohsling, Netflix "Single's Inferno 4" star Taehwan Kim, and designers from PALACE, often dubbed "the British Supreme." Discussions spanned brand philosophy, personal taste, the evolution of K-culture, and global cultural trends.

The venue also featured unique food and brand booths such as grailz, JACKJACK, HOMELESSTACO, and WERK ROASTERS. This year’s newly introduced "Craft Beer Gallery" showcased exclusive offerings from prominent Korean craft beer brands, including Magpie Brewing Co. and Incheon Beer, providing a distinctive culinary experience.

Furthermore, the AI experience booth, developed in partnership with Carat—Korea's largest AI content platform—offered interactive curation content featuring Ryan Ohsling, attracting significant visitor engagement.

Interactive audience-driven components like the D.I.Y workshop, Taste Zone, FLOPPY Gallery, and Open Call exhibition expanded considerably this year, emphasizing Let’s FLOPPY’s identity as not just an event to visit, but a platform for creativity and interaction.

Michelle Kim, co-founder of DoTPlanner expressed, "Let’s FLOPPY has evolved beyond just a convention; it has become a new community that connects people through the universal language of taste. This year reaffirmed Gwangju's unique cultural character and demonstrated that the creative energy of Korea's youth culture has global potential."

Let’s FLOPPY 3.0 was supported by the Korea Tourism Organization as part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism’s initiative to promote integrated international conventions. The event was co-hosted by DoTPlanner and the Gwangju Tourism Organization, with partnerships including Dot Slash Dash and Carat.
