Buggyra Academy France drivers head to the 40th edition of 24H Camions Le Mans

Buggyra Academy France drivers will battle it out this weekend in the fourth round of the French Truck Racing Championship. This time, the series heads to the legendary Le Mans, where a strong field will fight for next points on the Bugatti Circuit.

-- Téo Calvet will be defending his overall lead on this iconic track. José Sousa currently holds third place, and his son Raphaël is in fourth.

This year, the 24H Camions is also the penultimate round of the FFSA French Truck Racing Championship. There promises to be some fantastic entertainment on the 4.185-kilometre Bugatti Circuit and it looks like it’ll be a close battle for victory at the 40th 24H Camions event!

“For us, the Le Mans race is, of course, one of the most important events of the year. It’s the biggest truck race in France. All manufacturers take part in it. The race has a unique atmosphere, and we expect around 100,000 spectators again,” explained Fabien Calvet, head of Buggyra Academy France.

Téo Calvet arrives as the championship leader, holding a 41-point advantage over Thomas Robineau, who will be doing everything he can to stay in contention ahead of the final round in Albi. In third and fourth overall are José and Raphaël Sousa, which marks a strong result so far for Buggyra Academy France.

“After a long summer break, we’re finally heading to Le Mans this weekend. I can’t wait for the biggest race of the year. It’s going to be a massive event, a huge show, especially as we celebrate 40 years of Grand Prix Camions in Le Mans. I’m still leading the championship, and we want to keep that advantage to stay safe ahead of the final weekend in Albi without losing any points here. I’m particularly looking forward to the night race, which I’ve already won twice here – and I’d love to win it for a third time. I’m highly motivated, especially after such a long break. It’s time to push the gas again and move forward,” said championship leader Téo Calvet.

The French championship race weekend consists of four races in total. On both days, the starting grid for the first race is determined by a qualifying session followed by a Super Pole. The second race, with fewer points at stake, features a reversed grid for the top drivers.
